Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026 · Applies to shop.henistec.com
This policy explains what personal information Henistec Stores collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We keep what we collect to the minimum needed to sell you a watch and get it to your door.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Henistec Stores is the data controller for the information described here. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the regulations of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Where we serve customers in Ghana, we also observe the Data Protection Act 2012 (Act 843).
2. What we collect
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name | To address you and label your delivery |
| Phone number (WhatsApp) | To confirm your order and arrange delivery |
| Delivery address | To deliver the goods |
| Email address, if you give one | To send order confirmation or receipts |
| Order details | To fulfil the order, handle returns, and keep accounts |
| Record that payment was collected on delivery | To keep accurate sales and accounting records |
We never ask for your payment details at all. Because you pay on delivery, no card number, CVV, PIN, or bank password is ever entered on this website or sent to us. We hold no payment credentials of any kind, so there are none to lose.
3. What this website stores on your device
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The shop saves two things in your browser's local storage, purely so the site works the way you expect:
- Your cart — so the items you picked are still there if you close the tab and come back.
- Your currency choice — so you do not have to switch from Naira to Cedis on every visit.
Both stay on your own device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
4. Why we are allowed to use your data
- To perform our contract with you — processing and delivering the order you placed.
- To meet legal obligations — keeping transaction and tax records for the period the law requires.
- Our legitimate interests — preventing fraud and keeping our records accurate.
- Your consent — only where you have specifically agreed, such as to receive promotional messages. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever. We share it only with parties who need it to complete your order:
- Delivery partners and couriers — your name, address, and phone number, so they can deliver to you.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — because orders are placed through WhatsApp, your message is handled under Meta's own privacy terms.
- Regulators or law enforcement — only where we are legally required to disclose.
6. How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet accounting and tax obligations, normally six years from the date of the transaction. Where you have asked us to delete data and no legal obligation requires us to keep it, we delete it.
7. How we protect it
The shop is served entirely over encrypted HTTPS. Our administration area is password protected and limited to authorised staff. Because we take no payment online, we hold no card or banking credentials for any customer — the most sensitive category of data simply never enters our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data we do hold.
8. Your rights
Under the NDPA you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Have inaccurate data corrected.
- Ask us to delete your data where we have no continuing legal reason to keep it.
- Object to or restrict how we use it.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave.
- Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you believe we have mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these, message us on WhatsApp or use the contact details below. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Our shop is intended for customers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
